Rolex watches are among the most treasured accessories in the world, and that is nothing new to the readers! White gold is an alloy where there is a combination of gold with metals like Nickel and Palladium, which gives the gold a white sheen. While many confuse the color of white gold to burnished steel, the truth is far from it! The primary reason white gold is a preferred metal in Rolex watches is because of the softness of the alloy – it allows precious stones and other settings to sit in with ease, and holds them real well.

The effect is created by infusing copper into gold and depending on the percentage of copper used, the color changes from light pink to deep red. Rose gold (or pink gold) is also a metal of choice for urban man looking to buy Rolex watches in combination metals.
Platinum has come onto the popular watch metals list in the last few years, and there are a lot of top models of Rolex watches set in Platinum. Since Platinum is much rarer than gold, it is also that much more treasured. A Rolex watch set in Platinum makes for a stunning gift.
