The Jersey Shore Show Is A Trainwreck

Been on the moon for a few years?  The Jersey Shore show is a wildly successful show on MTV.
The idea behind the Jersey Shore show is combining 8 individuals to reside together on the Jersey Shore and interact on a daily basis.

The Jersey Shore is sort of comparable to The Real World, except these kids take it over the top.

The first season of the Jersey Shore show had the cast in the appropriate location of Seaside Heights, NJ.  Due to the success of the first season the network chose to do a 2nd season, this time sending the cast to Miami.
Why is the Jersey Shore show so popular?

The show reminds me of a terrible care accident.  It’s not polite to stare, but it’s impossible to resist the gorey details and drama.

Loud clothes, tanned skin, and an abundance of jewelry are the typical M.O. of the Jersey Shore show’s cast of characters.  These trainwrecks make it difficult to not tune in every week to watch the next disaster.  Alcohol, altercations, and sex – what’s not to love about these greaseballs?

MTV and the cast has been caught off-guard by the huge popularity of the show.  Merchandising has gone through the roof with t-shirts, DVDs, Halloween costumes, CDs, the list goes on and on.  MTV is pulling in the big bucks from this hot new show, with no end in site.

Cast members of the Jersey Shore show have also enjoyed success and have parlayed this success into other ventures such as workout videos, books, magazine shoots, public appearances, and clothing lines.  I’m sure all these opportunities have taken the cast by surprise in the recent years.  The cast of the Jersey Shore show may seem a little lost, but they’re doing all kinds of promotional stuff outside of the show to ride their 15 minutes of fame.  Kudos!

Yay! Now you know what people are talking about when they refer to the Jersey Shore show.  Even though you may not want to admit to it, you no longer will be left wondering what the Jersey Shore show is.
