What type of material is it made of? The Quality? Price? I finally decided to buy the Multiclad 12 piece set. The reasons include the pans being Dishwasher safe,oven safe,price,Stainless steel, and the variety included in the set. The quality of the pans went beyond all expectations. To start off the number of pans and the sizes really covers anything needed in most kitchens. There is something for every job. Clean up is a breeze even after purposely burning some food to check the difficulty. I was worried about switching to Stainless Steel pans after using Non-stick for so many years. If you preheat the pan and cook on lower temperatures then sticking is never an issue. The pans heat so evenly and quickly that there is no need to cook on a high setting. You can even boil water on medium high (level 7 out of 10)There are many good videos online that can go into greater detail about properly cooking on stainless. Definitely worth watching. The best part of all is not having to worry about nonstick coating flaking off in your food. There is a reason that most professional kitchens cook on stainless. With proper care this set should last a lifetime! Also Amazon as usual had the best price and I received the order in 3 days (using free super saver shipping).

Review by mjkw8-Just bought this set. Have been cooking with mostly cast iron and teflon coated skillets for eggs. Was reading up on using stainless steel for eggs and most said cooking eggs was fine except for scrambled eggs…that they would stick. Not so! First thing I cooked was scrambled eggs in the 8″ skillet. Used medium heat and after the skillet got hot, I dropped in a little bacon fat and let it warm up and then added the eggs and turned out out that it was slicker than the teflon coated skillet I had been using. Pleasantly surprised! It was slick as snot! Love this set! And easy to clean.

I do regret my husband leaving a lid on the stove top and then (mistakenly) turning the burner on underneath it – ouch! However no harm, no foul it is still functional and just looks well used! Anybody who claims to have researched their purchase and then complain bitterly when food sticks needs to get a clue – they are not non-stick! They need to educate themselves better. I love, love, love these pans!
